Held in Grant Park every July, this summertime tradition dates back to 1980. Each year, Chicagoans and visitors alike are invited to partake in five days of eating the best foods Chicago has to offer. 

In addition to the lakefront festival in Grant Park, there are also pop-up events across Chicago neighborhoods throughout the five days. From cheesecake and pizza to ribs and shrimp, you’ll find classic Chicago treats, as well as more off-the-beaten-path foods.

But food isn’t the only attraction at this free-admission festival. Over near the Buckingham Fountain, you’ll find the Main Stage, where local, national, and international acts will be lighting up the night. 2. Attend the Chicago Blues Festival

8. Visit the Iconic Wrigley Field

14. See a Show at the Chicago Theatre
