Despite its small size, there are loads of cool places to stay in Formentera. If this is your first time visiting the island, we suggest staying in La Savina. Also known as La Sabina, this area is home to the only ferry port on the island, as well as a fantastic choice of cafes, bars, restaurants, and boutiques.

It’s one of the liveliest parts of Formentera, with regular craft markets where you can pick up all kinds of goodies. It also boasts a number of gorgeous beaches, intriguing salt flats, interesting walking routes, and some of the coolest hotels in Formentera. 

Es Arenals is a top choice if you’re traveling as a family with young kids. One of the most stunning parts of the island, this neighborhood has beautiful beaches with very small and gentle waves, towering sand dunes, loads of watersport opportunities, and delicious tapas restaurants. It’s also home to a secluded nudist beach – if that’s your thing!

Choose Es Pujols if you’re looking for somewhere with a cool and trendy vibe. The only genuine resort town on the island, Es Pujols has a thriving restaurant scene with a huge number of local and seafood restaurants.

Migjorn Beach is a little out of the way, making it much more tranquil and relaxed than the surrounding areas. But despite that, you’ll still find a decent number of restaurants, bars, and hotels to choose from.
