Where to Stay in St. Petersburg
If you don’t plan on driving while you’re in town, staying in one of the many hotels in downtown St. Pete is your best bet. The downtown area is easily walkable and boasts tons of breweries, galleries, restaurants, parks, and more.
Plus, you can take the free Looper Trolley all around town or take advantage of the PSTA’s new Bus Rapid Transit service, the SunRunner, which takes you “from Beach to ’Burg and anywhere in between.” You can also hop on one of the many bikes using the Coast Bike Share app to get where you want to go.
That being said, if it’s a beach vacation you’re after, you may want to choose a hotel over in St. Pete Beach or Treasure Island, which are both around 15 minutes away from St. Petersburg.
