Luxury Lodges and Cabins in Big Bear, California

Where to Stay in Big Bear, California: Luxury Lodges and Cabins

As a San Diego native and snowboarder, I’ve traveled to Big Bear more times than I can remember. The main draw for me has always been the ski resorts of Snow Summit and Bear Mountain, which offer surprisingly good slopes just two hours from LA.

That being said, Big Bear is a year-round destination and in the summer you can go boating and fishing in Big Bear Lake, hiking and mountain biking on the scenic trails, and wining and dining in the adorable Big Bear Lake Village.

With so many rustic lakeside lodges and cute cabins in the woods, Big Bear is always a good idea if you just feel like getting away for a few days – no matter what the season. But with so many great places to stay in Big Bear, you might have a hard time choosing the perfect one. So I’ve created a list of the 10 best hotels in Big Bear to help you plan your perfect getaway!

Where to Stay in Big Bear

Luckily this is a blissfully small town, so no matter where you stay in Big Bear, you’ll never be too far from where you want to be. That being said, you really can’t go wrong with a hotel near the village. Not only will you be just a few miles from both Snow Summit and Big Bear Mountain resorts, but you’ll also be able to walk to all the cute restaurants and shops in the village.

Many of these accommodations feature docks where you can launch a boat or simply go fishing. Plus, you might even have a sandy stretch of sand where you can bask in the sun in the summer months!
