Where to Stay in Uluwatu

Where to Stay in Uluwatu, Bali: Best Hotels

Uluwatu is a relatively small town at the very edge of Bali. Its name translates into English as “Land’s End Rock,” which is pretty accurate – you really will feel like you’re at the end of the world! Despite its minute size, you’ll find three main places to stay in Uluwatu – close to the Uluwatu Temple, Labuansait, and Petjatu.

If this is your first visit to this area, we suggest staying close to the Uluwatu Temple. This area is the center of Uluwatu and is where you’ll find the best architectural attractions, historical landmarks, local restaurants, and beautiful beaches. It’s also home to some of the most amazing hotels in Uluwatu.

Labuansait is a great choice if you’re working with a limited budget. This part of Uluwatu is completely free from beach clubs, so you can spend as long as you like on the golden sands without paying a penny. It’s a wonderful choice if you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy total peace and tranquility.

Traveling as a family with kids? Consider staying in Petjatu. This neighborhood is slightly east of the center, so you’ve still got easy access to all the best dining, shopping, and attractions while still being far enough away for a wonderful night’s sleep. Here you’ll find beaches with gentle, child-friendly waves and cool Uluwatu hotels that put on entertainment and activities for the whole family.
