The Coolest Hotels Near Petco Park in San Diego, California

The 10 Coolest Hotels Near Petco Park in San Diego, California

As a San Diego native and a huge baseball fan, trust me when I say that catching a game at Petco Park is truly something special. Don’t believe me? This stadium was even named the “No. 1 Best MLB Stadium” by USA Today in 2024!

One of the coolest things about Petco Park is that it’s set right in the heart of downtown San Diego, which is a destination unto itself. Before or after the game, you’ll be able to enjoy all of the buzzing bars and restaurants of the historic Gaslamp Quarter – not to mention all of the area’s cool hotels.

But the ballpark itself is truly spectacular, with its use of the historic Western Metal Supply Co. building, its epic views of downtown and San Diego Bay, and some of the best ballpark food in the MLB (grab a bacon-wrapped Barrio Dogg and a Swami’s IPA!).

If you’re planning a trip to see a game or concert at Petco, you’re probably wondering where to stay. Luckily, you’ll find tons of great options within walking distance of both the Gaslamp Quarter and Petco Park.

With so many tempting hotels, you might have a hard time choosing the perfect place. So I’ve created a list of the 10 best hotels near Petco Park to help you plan the perfect getaway to downtown San Diego!
