Where to Stay in Corsica

Deciding where to stay in Corsica can be tricky because there are so many incredible options! Combining historic charm and lively nightlife, Porto-Vecchio is a great place if this is your first visit and you want the best of both worlds. Here, you can wander through ancient streets, dig into Corsican cuisine, and soak up the sophisticated ambiance around the marina.

Calvi is a fantastic choice for a romantic getaway. This neighborhood boasts a crescent-shaped bay and medieval citadel, creating a unique and beautiful backdrop. Here, you can while away your days with sunset strolls along the beach, intimate dinners in the Old Town, and fragrant pine forest hikes.

I suggest you stay in Ajaccio if you’re traveling as a family with young children. The birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, Ajaccio is home to sandy beaches, cute parks, interesting museums, and some of the best hotels in Corsica. If you stay here, you’ve got to sign up for the dinner experience at the Napoleon Grotto. It’s amazing!
