Where to Stay in Alicante

Deciding where to stay in Alicante can be intimidating – there are just so many fantastic options! If this is your first visit, I suggest staying in the city of Alicante. The capital of the province, this neighborhood is home to fabulous beaches, a thriving Old Town, delicious food markets, and a fantastic dining scene. It’s also where you’ll find some of the best Alicante hotels.

Jávea, also known as Xàbia, is a great choice if you’re looking for something a little quieter. In this part of the province, you’ll find peaceful bays, a promenade lined with seafood restaurants, and lush hillsides dotted with some of the coolest boutique hotels in Alicante.

Looking for something a little livelier? I recommend Benidorm. A hugely popular vacation resort area, this neighborhood boasts two lively beaches, a theme park, a water park, and a fantastic choice of bars, restaurants, cafes, and clubs. When you need a break, you can spend some time in the verdant Sierra Helada Natural Park, which covers the cliffs and mountains around Benidorm.
