Where to Stay in Macon

If you’re planning a trip to Macon, you’ll likely want to stay in the downtown area. Macon itself is not particularly walkable, but the downtown area is. Downtown is where the majority of Macon attractions are. 

However, if you want to escape the downtown and not stay where more hustle and bustle is, you can choose another area, like College Hill, which is walkable to the downtown area. If you want even more space still, you can go further out, but you should generally look for accommodations that are only a short driving distance from Downtown Macon.
